Job Description:

• Manage existing and deploy new network equipment on a network to provide transport services for mobile LTE traffic.
• Implement changes through the Change Management Process on the Layer 3 transport network, ensuring the change impact, contingency and test plans are properly evaluated before executing the change.
• Ensure the configurations of the network equipment is properly backed up so it may be quickly restored in the event of a disaster to minimize impact to critical services.
• Maintain maximum network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Identify, diagnose, and work with principal network hardware vendors to resolve network problems.
• Replace faulty network hardware or components when required.
• Provide technical support for the transport network for DSTA and NCS.
• Monitor and maintain all levels of network security internally and externally.
• Work together with internal teams such as Planning and Product on the evolution of the network to establish new processes and escalation flows for new services
• Work with network equipment vendors to evaluate and validate new hardware and solutions in a lab environment.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for equipment and systems in the DSTA LTE network.
• Generate documents and reports of system availability, quality of services and resource utilization to key stakeholders.
• Help prepare OPEX forecasts and budgets for the DSTA LTE network and track the expenditures.
• Help prepare the Statement of Work of the maintenance support contract, evaluates the vendor’s submissions, and involves in commercial and technical negotiations with the vendors.
